Day 14: Thursday the 30th of June

Territorial expansion: the United Nations council met today to discuss the worrying expansionistic policies of trench supervisor Charlie Hay. Mr. Hay, operating under the nom de guerre Charles the Beardy, has aggressively begun excavations in a new section of the long gallery. He has declared the area an independent archaeological state, and named his new republic 'trench 22'.
